Must have been broken, or perhaps under a witch’s hex;

They came to us with names like Jaworski LaFestus, Winnephred and Charli without the e,

And my lady got to thinkin’, Hi Diddlee Dee,

"I’ll take these broken stockings and make them whole again,"

With the help of some sewing elves, not one...but how ‘bout ten.

The elves cut off the mixed up names and sewed with a smile,

and my lady said to herself, “I kind of like this new style.”

The stockings are now ready, o’plenty,

At our prices, you could order one, two, three...or even twenty.

"So, why Recession Stocking?" you ask, "They look so beautiful still",
